Here's some uncategorized, experimental work I do whenever I feel like it...
Digital artwork meant for an article on fashion through the ages but never published. Rejected in fact.
Peaches. Playing around with photos and the character from the Ronnie short stories.
A variation on the above. An electronic Christmas card I sent out to my friends a couple of years back. I'm not much into Christmas...
Playful image using a bit of my drawing over a photo I took of Lake Bled in Slovenia.
Tigne. A tribute of sorts to the cafe life of the Sliema front.
A logo design for the Majjistral Nature Park I was planning to submit for an open competition but never did.
A poster promoting the same park. Definitely the most beautiful untouched area of Malta. Long may it remain so. Experimenting with Indesign.
I love chameleons and enjoy photographing them when possible. Another bit of fooling around really.
A poster for an Environmental Crimes Awareness protest organized by local NGO's. The organizers felt it portrayed environmental bandits as too nice and eventually went for something different and quite frankly awful.
A playful digital manipulation using just two photos. In the foreground is a street sculpture I shot in Montreal while the background is taken up with a shot of the Hagar Qim neolitichic temples located here in Malta.
An unlikely brief to produce a set of business icons leads to some interesting experimentation involving building simple to complex images using just basic shapes - squares, rectangles and circles. An area of digital manipulation I had never bothered to experiment with before. The prospective client eventually lost interest and the project remained stillborn.
Digital collage using a detail from a drawing (In-Nemmiesa see - http://www.stevebonellocartoons.com/drawings--graphics.html) and a photo of a simple window from a house in Mqabba, Malta.
Lost at sea - some more silly collage involving drawn image and photo.
